Basketball Game Preview: Escalante Moquis vs. Rockwell Marshals

The Escalante Moquis will venture away from home to take on the Rockwell Marshals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Escalante came up short against Piute and fell 38-27. The Moquis were down 35-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Rockwell was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-18 loss at the hands of Monument Valley.

Escalante has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Rockwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Escalante and Rockwell were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Escalante came up empty-handed after a 39-38 loss. Can Escalante avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
