Platte County is 7-2 against Ruskin since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Platte County Pirates will square off against the Ruskin Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Platte County will be strutting in after a victory while Ruskin will be coming in after a defeat.

Platte County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They strolled past Fort Osage with points to spare, taking the game 55-40.

Meanwhile, Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 34-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chrisman.

Platte County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Ruskin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything came up roses for Platte County against Ruskin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Platte County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
