Basketball Recap: California Lutheran C-Hawks vs. Lakeside Lancers
After flying high against Bethel Christian on Friday, California Lutheran came back down to earth. The C-Hawks took a 73-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Lancers on Saturday.

Despite the loss, California Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Treder dropped a double-double with 35 points and 18 boards. Treder's big performance that afternoon made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Ezra Seow was another key player, putting up 21 points.
Lakeside found their leader in sophomore Jack Jones, who shot 60% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Jones is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last four games he's played. California Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lakeside, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4.
Looking ahead, California Lutheran will face off against Santa Fe at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeside, they will challenge Bell Gardens at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside will need to watch out since Bell Gardens has now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
