Basketball Recap: Boyd Christian Comes Up Short

Boyd Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by the Clarkrange Buffaloes and fell 70-29. The contest marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Boyd Christian had strong showings from Brooke Kesey, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards, and Maddalynne Noll, who posted five points and eight rebounds. Kesey is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last three games she's played. Channing Gannon also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Boyd Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Clarkrange, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Boyd Christian has already played their next game (against Red Boiling Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clarkrange, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harriman at 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
