With a playoff win on the line, St. Laurence rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 back in March.

St. Laurence has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Nazareth Academy, they now have a losing record of 15-16.
