Basketball Recap: Roma Takes a Loss

Roma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Roma's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Roma will challenge Nixon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Roma likes a good challenge. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Martin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
