Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Cougars vs. St. Francis Sharks
Even though the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars have not done well against the St. Francis Sharks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. San Lorenzo Valley snuck past St. Francis with a 63-59 victory. The victory was familiar territory for San Lorenzo Valley who now have three in a row.
St. Francis' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Rose, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Braun, who scored 20 points.
San Lorenzo Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Francis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Foothill the next time they take the court. St. Francis will head out to face Foothill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while San Lorenzo Valley will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
