Baseball Recap: Northern Cambria Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Northern Cambria had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the United Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Colts have posted against the Lions since April 28, 2018.

Shane Gisler was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Ty Dumm was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northern Cambria kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as United only managed one hit.

Northern Cambria pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for United, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Northern Cambria will have a chance to go back-to-back against United: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
