Baseball Recap: Clovis Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Clovis hadn't done well against Goddard recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Clovis Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goddard Rockets, sneaking past 9-7. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Clovis' win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Goddard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Clovis has already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Roswell on the 15th. As for Goddard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-2 win against Gallup on the 15th.
