Lighthouse Baptist Academy extended their home winning streak to 14 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Dylan Varney. The Lighthouse Baptist Academy Eagles skirted past the Frederick Baptist Academy Patriots 64-61 thanks in part to Varney, who posted 24 points. The game was his third in a row with at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Robinson, who scored ten points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Downs, who had 23 points. Downs has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Hardt, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Frederick Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
