Basketball Recap: Lagrange Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

LaGrange Academy took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 98-90 victory over the Oaks Mighty Oaks. LaGrange Academy has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Oaks, too.

Oaks' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Allen, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Ken Henderson, who scored 19 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Oaks and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

LaGrange Academy has already played their next matchup, a 75-44 loss against Calvary Christian on the 14th. As for Oaks, they will take on Eastwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
