Lyman took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against East River, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greyhounds came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lyman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 15-11.

Lyman has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for East River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman is headed away from home for the first time to take on St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East River, they will head out to square off against Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
