Lexington Catholic had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Tates Creek Commodores by a score of 61-53. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st in Kentucky, while the Commodores are ranked 109th in Kentucky), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington Catholic's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Tates Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Lexington Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lexington Catholic likes a good challenge.
