Softball Recap: Paden City Wildcats vs. Valley Lumberjacks
Paden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell victim to a tough 20-8 loss at the hands of the Valley Lumberjacks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Paden City of the 11-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Saturday.
Lexi Mathis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run.
Paden City's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-9.
Paden City will stay at home for another game and welcome Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Tyler at 2:00 p.m. Valley is facing Tyler at the right time seeing as Tyler is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
