            Softball Recap: Mount Horeb Vikings vs. Stoughton Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Mount Horeb barely beat Stoughton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mount Horeb blew past Stoughton 7-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Mount Horeb sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Ellie Larson was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Morgan Monroe, who  got on base  in two of her four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Mount Horeb was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stoughton only posted a  batting average of  .160.

Mount Horeb's victory was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-3. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Stoughton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record  this season.
 Mount Horeb will face off against Dodgeville at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Dodgers will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stoughton, they will challenge River Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Blackhawks at the right time seeing as the Blackhawks are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
