Baseball Game Preview: Morse Tigers vs. San Diego Cavers

For the second straight game, Morse will face off against San Diego. The Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Cavers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Morse has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Morse managed to slip by San Diego the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Cavers on Monday, falling 21-8.

For San Diego's part, they let Jarryd Torres and Shun Shirayama run wild. Torres went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs and four RBI, while Shirayama went 3-for-6 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. San Diego is undefeated when Shirayama posts two or more stolen bases, but 7-11-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Henry Siner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

San Diego always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.

Morse's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for San Diego, their win bumped their record up to 10-11-1.
