Basketball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 102-43 loss at the hands of the Sacramento Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1043rd, while the Dragons are ranked 212th).

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Sacramento, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Pioneer has already played their next matchup (against Vanden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sacramento will head out on the road to square off against Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sacramento knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Vacaville likes a good challenge.
