Morgan County won the last time they faced Putnam County and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the War Eagles 46-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Christian Monfort had a dynamite game, rushing for 171 yards and four scores while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Davis Strickland was another key player, throwing for 197 yards while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morgan County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Putnam County only rushed for 159 rushing yards.

When it comes to explaining why Putnam County lost, don't look at Omarion Butts. Despite the final result, he rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown.

Morgan County has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Putnam County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
