Football Recap: Fulshear Beats Alief Hastings for Their Fourth Straight Victory

If Alief Hastings wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fulshear, they should've done a better job of containing Shaan Patel. The Chargers really took it to the Bears for the full four quarters, racking up a 37-0 victory for which the team can thank Patel, who threw for 305 yards and three TDs. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 305 passing yards.

Fulshear didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Liam Clay and Elijah Anderson. Another thorn in Alief Hastings' side was Evan Ferns, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The win was the fourth in a row for Fulshear, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points over those games. As for Alief Hastings, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Fulshear will face off against Foster at 2:00 p.m. on the 11th. The Chargers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alief Hastings, they have already played their next contest, a 34-13 loss against Alief Taylor on the 9th.
