Basketball Recap: Murray Falls to Wasatch in First Game of Season

Murray had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 76-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wasatch Wasps. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wasps apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Murray lost, don't look at Isaiah Beh. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field en route to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Beh is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Cameron Curtis, who posted eight points.

Murray didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 91-57 loss against Highland on the 21st. As for Wasatch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-68 victory against Crimson Cliffs on the 20th.
