Baseball Recap: Richlands Comes Up Short

Richlands lost to Dixon back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4.

Tanner Brinson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Richlands is 2-1 when Brinson posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-11 otherwise.

Richlands' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Dixon, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richlands will challenge rival Havelock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dixon is set to face off against their familiar foe West Carteret at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
