Basketball Recap: Lummi Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Lummi Blackhawks didn't have quite enough to beat the Pateros Billygoats/Nannies and fell 48-46.

Lummi's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Pateros, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Lummi and Pateros should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Lummi (ranked 90th) will meet Tulalip Heritage (ranked 290th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lummi's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Pateros' offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Pateros will square off against Entiat at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 168 places (98 vs. 266).
