Basketball Game Preview: Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears vs. Dymally Challengers

The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears will square off against the Dymally Challengers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-27, which was the final score in Port of Los Angeles' tilt against Harbor Teacher on Friday.

Meanwhile, Dymally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Hawkins and fell 77-47. One positive for the Challengers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Dymally's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Port of Los Angeles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Port of Los Angeles was taken down by Dymally 82-33 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Port of Los Angeles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
