Basketball Recap: Elberta's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Elberta had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged the Rain Red Raiders out 56-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since December 28, 2023.

Elberta's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Rain, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Elberta and Rain could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Elberta (ranked 328th) will meet UMS-Wright Prep (ranked 136th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rain will take on Williamson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 319 places (356 vs. 37).
