Volleyball Recap: Harlingen Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Harlingen challenged Weslaco on Friday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Madison Martinez was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had three digs and two aces.

Harlingen now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Weslaco, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Harlingen will host Lyford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weslaco, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against McAllen Memorial on the 16th.
