Volleyball Recap: Rootstown's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Rootstown's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wickliffe Blue Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Rootstown was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 19-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Colbie Curall paced Rootstown's offense, picking up 11 kills. Curall got some help from Olivia O'Neill and her 15 assists. Ella Hayn controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

With the win, Rootstown broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-11. As for Wickliffe, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rootstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Kirtland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wickliffe will face off against rival Chagrin Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
