Basketball Game Preview: Monroe County Falcons vs. Glasgow Scotties

The Monroe County Falcons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Glasgow Scotties at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Monroe County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Red Boiling Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-32 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Glasgow had to suffer through an 86-50 loss at the hands of Warren Central. While losing is never fun, the Scotties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Dragons are ranked ninth).

Glasgow dropped their record down to 4-18 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Monroe County, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.

Monroe County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Glasgow when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monroe County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
