Softball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Rio Grande Ravens

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). Everything went their way against the Rio Grande Ravens on Saturday as the Valley Vikings made off with a 19-6 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Liliana Roybal and Aleyah Lucero did most of the damage at the plate: Roybal scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Lucero scored three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs Roybal has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Diggs, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
