Volleyball Recap: Shelbyville Comes Up Short

Shelbyville lost against Yorktown back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Golden Bears came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-10.

Alivia Lee paced Shelbyville's offense, picking up four kills. Lee got some help from Addy Marshall and her 11 assists.

Yorktown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lyndsey Robinson led the charge by getting six digs and two aces.

Shelbyville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Yorktown, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelbyville will face off against Connersville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Yorktown, they will challenge Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
