Football Game Recap: Lynn English vs. Somerville

Lynn English were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took their matchup against Somerville on Friday by a conclusive 31-9 score. That result was just more of the same for Lynn English, who also won the last time these teams played.

Lynn English took a little while to warm up, but they followed up a slow first quarter with 13 points in the second. Somerville came up with 3 to make it 13-3 heading into the break. The Lynn English defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the game. The match brought them to 2-0 and dropped Somerville to a mirror-image 0-2.

Lynn English will stay at home next week against Malden Catholic at 7:30 PM. As for Somerville, they will face off against Gloucester.
