Softball Recap: Halls Find Success

Halls won against North Sand Mountain on Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Halls Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Chattanooga Christian Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Atiana Stamper spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Brianna Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that she scored this season. Emery Bales was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Halls' win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Chattanooga Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Halls will face off against Skyline at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chattanooga Christian, they will challenge Bradley Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
