Baseball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-17. They came up short against the Salt Fork Storm, falling 28-8. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Storm from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Rylan White made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Happ, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

As for Salt Fork, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. That 20-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Salt Fork's side, Eli Wear was excellent, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave Wear a new career-high in hits (four). Brayden Norton was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will host Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Salt Fork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscola at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
