Recap: Reicher Catholic Cougars vs. Live Oak Classical Falcons
The Reicher Catholic Cougars waltzed into their contest Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Live Oak Classical by a score of 61-50. For Reicher Catholic, this counts as revenge for the 65-46 loss Live Oak Classical walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Live Oak Classical saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Ogden scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Creighton Polnick, who scored 11 points.
Reicher Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Live Oak Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-3.
Reicher Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Brazos Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Brazos Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Live Oak Classical, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Holy Trinity Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Holy Trinity Catholic is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
