Softball Game Preview: McMahon Senators vs. Greenwich Cardinals

For the second straight game, McMahon will face off against Greenwich. The Senators will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

McMahon lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Greenwich, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Senators blew past the Cardinals 10-2 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Senators as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Caroline Sattler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Alexa Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sami Horton, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

McMahon's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Greenwich, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
