Basketball Recap: Garfield Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Seattle Prep

On Tuesday, Garfield faced Seattle Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Garfield Bulldogs took a hard 72-57 fall against the Seattle Prep Panthers. The Bulldogs have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Seattle Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9.

Looking ahead, Garfield will face off against West Seattle at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Garfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 contests -- so hopefully West Seattle likes a good challenge. As for Seattle Prep, they will head out to square off against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bellevue will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Seattle Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
