Basketball Recap: Bagdad Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Bagdad has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maryvale Prep Matador. The Sultans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Matador earlier this season, when they won 57-38.

Bagdad's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Maryvale Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bagdad will take on San Pasqual Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maryvale Prep, they will face off against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
