Verrado got themselves on the board against Willow Canyon on Friday, but Willow Canyon never followed suit. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 4-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Vipers, who have now won seven games in a row.

The result came thanks to Jill Ryan's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nevaeh Romero, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aariah Solis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Verrado pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9-1.

Verrado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willow Canyon, they will welcome Buckeye at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
