Baseball Recap: Carlisle County's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Carlisle County got themselves on the board against Hickman County on Monday, but Hickman County never followed suit. They blew past the Falcons 6-0. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Koltyn Perez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carlisle County is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. Perez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Perez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lawsin Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Brennan O'Neill, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Carlisle County's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8. As for Hickman County, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-12.

Carlisle County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
