            Cheney is  a perfect 4-0 against Conway Springs since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Cheney will challenge Conway Springs. The last three games Cheney has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Cheney came out on top against El Dorado  on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Wildcats  8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Cardinals have posted  since March 24th.

 The team  relied heavily on  Josh Burdick, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Eck, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Conway Springs' offense. They fell  5-0 to Chaparral on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 17  runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 With the  defeat, Conway Springs broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-12. As for Cheney, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
 Cheney took their  victory against Conway Springs  in their previous matchup  back in March by a conclusive  12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cheney since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
