Basketball Recap: Grand Saline Triumphs

Grand Saline won the last time they faced Eustace and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Grand Saline Indians came out on top against the Eustace Bulldogs by a score of 44-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Despite the loss, Eustace saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paige Quigg posted 13 points along with eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Quigg a new career-high in points.

Grand Saline's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Eustace, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Grand Saline will venture away from home to challenge Mineola at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mineola will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Grand Saline surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eustace, they will welcome Quitman at 5:10 p.m. on Friday.
