On Friday, the Booker Tornadoes were fully in charge, breezing past the Boca Ciega Pirates 48-12. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Booker had a senior duo take command as Ryan Downes - 2025 threw for 354 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes and Deanwar Johnson rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Downes - 2025 has become a key player for Booker: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 300 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyree Mannings Jr, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
