Volleyball Recap: Yuba City Falls Despite Big Games from Alex Ramos and Dessa Mcdonald + How To Watch

Yuba City lost against Nevada Union back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Honkers lost 3-0 to the Miners. The Honkers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-22.

Yuba City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dessa McDonald, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Alex Ramos, who had 11 digs.

Nevada Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Val Ramirez led the charge by getting 18 digs and two aces. Ramirez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Yuba City's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Nevada Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-17 record this season.

Yuba City and Nevada Union are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Honkers will challenge Christian Brothers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada Union, they will square off against Oakmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
