 Westwood has not done well against Dobson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Westwood Warriors came out on top against the Dobson Mustangs by a score of  7-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Westwood.
  Madison Blumer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

 On Dobson's side,  Nikole Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Dobson  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westwood only tossed five.
 Westwood now  has a winning record of 12-11. As for Dobson, they now  have a losing record at 13-14.
