Strecker Backe and John Delisanti provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Shelton. The connection was good for 76 yards, the longest such play in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this season.

Fairfield Prep was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Gaels. The Jesuits came in at 9 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.

Fairfield Prep's dynamic duo of Backe and Delisanti proved tough for Shelton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Backe threw for 105 yards and one touchdown and Delisanti had 81 yards receiving. Andrew Ostrosky helped Fairfield Prep's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.

DeAngelo Berry was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 229 yards on 17 carries as Xavier beat Jeff Roy's team. Teammate Andrew Meoli added to the ground attack by rushing for 48 yards.

James Semmonella provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Amity Regional defeated Guilford. He completed eight passes for 181 yards and also ran for 70 yards. Semmonella's favorite target this week was Cory Ricks, who caught two passes for 71 yards.

Xavier's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tim Boyle has thrown for 607 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Kris Luster has 23 catches for 375 yards. Berry leads the league in rushing with 763 yards.

The Falcons extended the longest winning streak in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this week by beating Hamden, 49-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the Xavier.
