After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Homestead, New Haven was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Columbia City Eagles by a score of 3-1. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
New Haven had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 27-25, 25-16, 25-15.
Miguel Piedra paced New Haven's offense, picking up 15 kills. Piedra got some help from James Htay and his 17 assists. Finally, Mason Ehrman kept New Haven's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
