Baseball Game Preview: Forest Wildcats vs. Trenton Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Forest Wildcats challenge Trenton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Forest is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Harmony on Monday. They came up short against the Longhorns, falling 8-2.

Forest got a good showing from Sneh Patel, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Patel has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Daniel Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Michael Dominguez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Trenton entered their tilt with Trinity Catholic on Friday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Celtics.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Brock Petrello, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Trenton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
