Recap: Teaneck Highwaymen vs. Elizabeth Minutemen
Even though the Elizabeth Minutemen scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, the Teaneck Highwaymen still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Teaneck made off with a 65-64 victory over Elizabeth.
Several Minutemen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jah'nae Lembrick, who scored 18 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lembrick has scored all season. Dynasty Chandler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Teaneck has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Elizabeth, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Teaneck will head out on the road to face off against NV - Demarest at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. NV - Demarest will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Elizabeth, they will be playing at home against Oak Knoll at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Knoll has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27.
