Baseball Recap: Manistee Comes Up Short

Manistee lost against Kingsley on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chippewas fell just short of the Stags by a score of 3-1. The Chippewas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adam Olson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Manistee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Workman, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Manistee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kingsley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Manistee will challenge Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingsley, they will face off against Manton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
