Volleyball Recap: Corvallis Comes Up Short

After flying high against McKay last Tuesday, Corvallis came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Crescent Valley Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Corvallis started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-10, 15-9.

Corvallis' loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Crescent Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corvallis is set to challenge their familiar foe Woodburn at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Crescent Valley will face off against rival Silverton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
