Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty managed to slip by Gateway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Liberty Chargers lost 17-7 to the Gateway Panthers on Tuesday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Isaiah Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Joel Cruz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-5.

Liberty now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gateway, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

When Liberty and Gateway next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Liberty will face off against Innovation and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. Meanwhile, Gateway will try to stop Heritage's six-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
